PlastiComp LLC, a leading technology company in the field of reinforced polymer composites, today announced that Alan Jensen has joined the company as Business Development Manager. Jensen is responsible for increasing market penetration of Complēt® composite pellets, Pushtrusion® direct in-line compounding and other new technologies and services from PlastiComp.
“Working with both end users and molders, Alan will bring PlastiComp’s resources to support new product development with our current and future customers”, said Steve Bowen, PlastiComp President and CEO. “Our focus today is taking long fiber thermoplastic technology into applications that have until today stayed in metal or thermoset resins.”

Jensen is a results-oriented sales and operations executive with over 30 years experience serving the automotive OEM and industrial markets. He has held many leadership positions throughout his career, including: Account Executive, Market Development at General Electric Company; Company Cofounder, President and Managing Director at Opportunity Management; Executive Director - Business Development at ASC Incorporated; and Vice President of Sales at Heidel North America.

Jensen has extensive knowledge of plastic composites and related process technologies, including tooling and capital equipment. He has an in-depth understanding of melding the operational and people side of business. Jensen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree Cum Laude from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, South Dakota in chemistry and business.
