Maxxam™ Foamable Formulations
Maxxam™ foamable polypropylene (PP) formulations, both solid and cellular, are developed specifically for wire and cable applications. These PP copolymers feature a pre-dispersed blowing agent, enabling up to 60% expansion and streamlined processing. Offered in a range of densities, they deliver excellent primary insulation performance by reducing capacitance, minimizing signal loss, and supporting consistent electrical integrity.
With better heat and crush resistance versus foamed PE and FEP, Maxxam foamable formulations also include options for non-ADCA and non-halogen, low smoke and fume, and flame retardancy. Developed to meet the evolving demands of the industry, our PP solutions provide manufacturers with high-performance materials that enable innovation and excellence.
